They were interrupted by a knock on the door. Well, a bang on the door. Nick sighed in frustration and opened it. “What man?” he asked Marcus.
“What is going on, dawg? I understand that you want to keep it quiet and everything, but why doesn’t her friend know?”
“Ask him,” Sue said through clenched teeth, “he’s the one who wants to keep things quiet.”
“Keep what quiet?” came a voice from the doorway.
“The fact that Nick wants to sleep with all the hoochies and he seems to think I will be able to help him do it.” She walked away from Nick and towards her friend. “I’ve had enough of this, let’s go.”
Em looked at Sue’s back disappearing down the hallway, “Looks like it’s time to go then.” She looked back towards Nick. “Nice to meet you Nick, see you tomorrow.”

“So what was that all about?” Em asked when they got back to their room.
“What do you mean?”
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing.”
“You’re pissed at something.”
“I’m not,” Sue said, her voice rising.
“Calm down” Em hissed.
“I am calm. It’s just fucking typical that the man of my dreams wants my help to sleep with the hoochies. Story of my life really.”
“Oh Sunny, everything will be alright, you’ll see.”
Sue read the text message she had just received, ‘Love you. X’ and she smiled. “Yeah I’m sure it will be.”

They got up the next day at lunchtime, the 24-hour city wreaking havoc with their body clocks.
They got ready for the soundcheck and made their way downstairs to get something to eat. Soon enough they were standing with other girls in front of the venue’s entrance, patiently waiting for Marcus to come out.
“So that’s how you got into SC all the time.”
“Yup.” Sue shifted from foot to foot. “He’s nice once you get to know him.”
“I’m sure he is. And he so loves talking.” Em grinned as she spotted the man in question at a nearby door.
Ten minutes later, they were in.
“Too damn easy!” Em skipped towards the stage.
Sue grinned at her friend’s happiness and tried her best not to stare at the men sitting up there.
Nick was definitely ignoring them, Em thought as she tried taking his picture. He just wouldn’t turn their way, damn it! And she’d been so bent on taking good pics for Sue. She had to feed her obsession after all.
It would be a whole lot easier if she liked AJ instead. The bloody guy had winked at her as soon as they’d arrived. And now, he was looking at them all the time. Which was nice but slightly odd at the same time. Considering she hadn’t batted an eyelash last night when she was with him, she wondered what was her problem.
Oh well, she guessed she could always take pics of him. “Cheese!” She mouthed to him and grinned when he obeyed. Too easy.
They were waiting for their turn to be photographed with the Boys when Em asked Sue, “Are you gonna ask Nick for a hug then?”
She sighed, “I don’t think so. Have you seen how he’s ignoring me?”
“Yeah but… you could always try. I mean, it’s not because you refused to help him contact the groupies that he’s gonna-“
Marcus’ loud voice interrupted, “Make it quick, ladies! Come on, you two”
Em rolled her eyes at their new friend but complied. Soon enough they were standing in front of the four Boys, fake smiles on their faces as they waited for the photographer (a real one at that!).
No one else saw Nick’s hand pull Sue closer or how he drew down and whispered something in her ear. But her bright smile lit up the photo when the flash finally appeared.
