Another door opened just as Sue walked past it. She didn’t turn her head, just walked straight to Nick.
AJ watched her hurry past him and shaking his head, made his way to the elevators. Someone was already waiting there and he frowned. Where the hell did these women come from? Wasn’t this supposed to be a private floor?
“Marcus?”
The bodyguard appeared behind him. “Yeah?”
“Is everything OK?” He motioned towards the blonde woman standing only meters away.
“Yeah. How long will you be?”
“Dunno. I’ll give you a call if there’s a problem”
“Alright. But if you’re not back by 3, I’m coming to get you”
Rolling his eyes, AJ ignored that last comment and stepped into the awaiting lift.

“Nick! I can’t believe you did that!”
“I needed to see you” His arms wrapped behind her back as he pulled her close. “Why are you here?” Sue sent him a weird look. “I mean on this floor”
“Oh, we were stalking”
“Of course. Why hadn’t I thought of that?” Nick replied as he shook his head. “So how long do you have?”
“I don’t know! I’m not supposed to be here at all. I mean, what am I gonna tell her when she asks why you wanted to see me?”
“You can always tell her the truth” Nick leaned down and brushed his lips across the side of her neck. “That I wanted to have some fun with my wife”
“Nick!” Sue groaned. Already her body was heating up. Only the thought that she couldn’t stay here was stopping her from pushing him onto the bed. “Please, baby, I gotta go”
“I don’t want you to” He tried another tactic: his fingers nudged her head up and his mouth found hers. Now let’s see how long it’ll take her to stop thinking about her friend…

He broke the silence after only a few seconds. “Were you there to see Nick?”
Em jumped. “What? Oh no, we were just talking to Marcus”
“We?”
She leaned against the wall as she turned towards him. “My friend Sue and I”
“Is she the one who was hurrying to Nick’s room?”
“Yes” Em bit her lip. She was still trying to think that through. Hadn’t Sue said she hadn’t seen the Boys during the tour, apart from the soundchecks and all? So how did Nick know her name? More importantly, why had Sue told her to go? Something was going on here.
“Are you okay?”
She blinked back to the present, only to find AJ holding the door open. “Not really”
“Oh. Are you coming or what?” He gestured to the noisy lobby behind him and she winced when she realized she hadn’t pressed the button to her floor. Instead she was back in the casino. Damn it!
People pushed past him to get inside the elevator and Em quickly stepped out in an effort not to get caught in the stampede. “Wow, crazy people”
“Welcome to Vegas” AJ commented as he stood there, still looking at her with a weird look.
“What?”
“What’s wrong with you?”
“There’s something not quite right about what just happened upstairs” She hesitated, “Did you recognize her?”
“Who?”
“The girl going past you to Nick’s room.”
“Can’t say I was really paying that much attention.”
She shook her head.  “Nope, something’s not right, I’m going back up.”  She called the lift and got in once it arrived. “Coming?” she asked.
