“Where are you?”
“Having dinner at the buffet. You?”
“Missing you”
“Oh, Nick-“
“Are you sure you can’t come here?”
“We’ve talked about it, Nicky. She doesn’t know about us”
“But can’t you find an excuse and say you have to go for an hour or so?”
“Nope”
“Susannah Carter! I need something here!”
“I can’t help you, sorry”
“You’re gonna pay for this, you know”
“Oh, I’m sure of it. What about… I'll see how tired she is and sneak out if I can?”
“Ok but why did you have to share a room, babe? I mean, really!”
“I already explained it all to you. It’s tradition! Anyhow, I’ll see what I can do later, okay? Be good, Nicky”
“You too, baby. Think of me”
***
“So, who was it?”
“Oh just someone. How are the jalapenos?”
“Ok. I’ve had better. How’s the pasta salad?”
“Ok. It’s not tacos or burgers so that’s something. What do you want to do tonight?”
“Well, we could try and find where the Boys’ rooms are”
“We sure could”
They grinned at each other.

“Are you sure you’ll be able to stay awake though?”
“Very funny, Sunny. I’m here, aren’t I?” Em stepped off of the elevator on the last floor and motioned her friend to follow her. She could see someone standing at the other end of the corridor and she was pretty sure he was wearing a green sweater. And they knew what that meant. Marcus was in the house!
"It’s Marcus!" she cried.
At his name he looked down the corridor and on seeing Sue, he smiled. "What's up?" he asked.
"I'm fine babe, how are you?"
Marcus grunted that he was ok and Sue introduced Em to him.
"So are you here to see..."
"No, no, no, we aren't here to see anyone, except you of course." Sue hurriedly cut in, "and we know that you can't tell us anything about your charges." He gave Sue a funny look, but didn't say anything. "We were just looking around the hotel."
They chatted to Marcus for a bit until he had a phone call. The girls tried hard to listen, but could only catch a word here or there. Someone was going downstairs!
"Do you want us to go Marcus?" Em asked, not wanting to go, but not wanting it to look like they had been waiting for any of the guys to come out.
Marcus looked like he didn't know what to do. A door opening further up the hallway made him pause.
A familiar blond head poked out of the room, "Yo Marcus, what time do we have to leave in the morning?" he paused when he saw Sue and gave the briefest of smiles. Sue’s heart was beating out of her chest, all she wanted to do was go to her man... "Listen Em, I think we should go."
Em looked at her with a stunned look on her face. "Why?" she hissed, "you do know that's Blue standing right there, don't you?"
Sue nodded, “I know but they deserve some privacy, they are about to go out."
"I suppose, but I’m not happy!" Em said.
They said bye to Marcus and turned to leave. Only to be stopped by someone calling Sue's name. They turned round to see Nick beckoning her.
"I'll meet you back in our room..." Sue stuttered out.
Em gave her friend a strange look, but nodded and walked back towards the lifts.
