Me Too!

Em stepped off the escalator and stared at the dozen luggage conveyor belts. Between the crowd of shuffling people and the noise of the slot machines, she was having a hard time finding where to go and grab her bags. And where the hell was Sunny? She whirled around, pretty sure she’d heard her name being called out.
Argh! Giving up, she looked up and stared at the screens. Flight from Paris CDG – N°4. Okay, she could do this. Hooking up her handbag over her shoulder, she moved forward and managed to avoid being trampled on. Go her!

“Oh God”
Em stilled at the voice. “Sunny!” She rushed her friend, hugging her while trying her best not to jump up and down. “We’re going stalking, we’re going stalking!” She started chanting while Sue looked at her, slightly bemused. “Is that a new shirt?”
“Yes, what do you think? I thought it was perfect!”
Sue looked at the words printed across Em’s front. “Oh yeah, it’s perfect”
Em grinned, “Told ya. I need to grab my bags and then we can go”
“Sure” Sue steered her towards the right conveyor belt and bit her lip. That shirt was not going to be unnoticed. Help!

“Love the hotel, babe” Em said as soon as they’d stepped on their floor. “I can’t believe we’re VIP again”
“Well, we’re stalking in style”
Em laughed at Sue’s comment. “That we are”
Their room was even more lavish, two Queen-sized beds in a large suite that even included a Jacuzzi AND a view! The Strip and its blinking lights stretched at their feet, looking both magical and slightly dangerous.
“So!” Em bounced on the end of her bed. “Have you seen them? Do you know where they are?”
“Nope but I saw Marcus so at least we got the hotel right!”
“Thank God for Hols and her informants. It’s one big hotel though”
“Yeah but I’m pretty sure they’re not gonna stay locked up in their rooms. I mean, it is Vegas after all”
“True” Em nodded, remembering how AJ was known to love Vegas. “What now? Should we try and find you somewhere to eat?”

“I’m not hungry”
“But I am and I ain’t eating on my own. Come on, babe, let’s go!”
“I hate being a vegetarian in the States. All I’ve been eating for the past weeks is burgers and tacos”
“What about Chinese? Indian? Pizza?”
“Nope, not even. But at least I didn’t get only a bap and some shredded lettuce”
“Then you should consider yourself lucky!” Em closed the door behind them. “I’m famished. I love being here and it’s stalking and all but it feels like I’ve been in a plane for at least two days”
“That’s because you have been!” Sue stuck her tongue out at her and crossed the hall to the bank of elevators.
“Very funny”
“I thought so”
They were giggling as they stepped onto the elevator.

The doors opened to a sea of noise. People were bustling everywhere, lights were flashing from the slot machines. Em and Sue wandered over to one of the many buffets in the hotel.

‘Nope, nothing here I like the look of’, Sue thought. She couldn't work out what anything was, it was all deep fried and looked disgusting. She sighed and grabbed a plate, she left her friend to decide what heart attack food she wanted and was glad to spy a salad bar.

The conversation started up again as soon as Em was settled. "So, how have the concerts been? Seen much of the Boys?"

"Concerts have been great. I've somehow been able to get to the front for each show and have got some fantastic pictures of the guys. As for seeing much of the guys, you could say that." Before she could say anything else, her phone rang. Sue looked at the Caller ID and smiled. "I've got to take this, I'll be back in a sec."
